Finally had some quality time with my baby.
It pains me to think of the 3456781238487960 hours ive wasted since ive acquired my Les Paul. And what do i have to show? Hardly anything note-worthy. He's definitely high maintenance - requires alot of TLC, and time spent getting to know him better. But its worth it cuz he plays like a dream. hahaa. i need FOCUS (and i dont mean contact lenses!).

hello world! im dam happy now cuz i realise i have no school tomm! woohoo. Thats two days in a row, plus the weekend! Had no school today either cuz ive got a 4-day week this sem. im free on thursdays! Having suffered the misfortune of the 5-day week syndrome for the past two semesters, its helluva awesome to have a break in the middle of the week. :)!
jac and i met at holland today. its been awhile since ive been there. somehow holland's always been an after-school kinda place. Or in between lessons, as was the case in ac. i remember when swensens was having their 5 scoops for $1.99 promotion, we'd head to holland during free period for ice cream and then cab back in time for class. hahaa. But since ntu, i havent been there as often as before!
A few changes. Like the chicken noodles place is all renovated now. And chicken noodles costs $4! ive been eating there since mg primary and its slowly increased from $2.50 - $2.80 - $3 ->$4! Oh and Lim's Arts (owned by Mrs Natalie LIm who taught history in mgs) has a toilet within itself now! Oh and Bead Factory is closing down! 50% sale storewide if anyone's interested. But Holland's still essentially the same la. That place reminds me of sec school and jc. sigh days of auld lang syne. i felt old today as we talked about friends getting married and having kids(!!), working, and celebrating her 22nd birthday. its all happening so fast.
Anyway. im very happy with my purchases today!hahaa i realise this sounds quite bimbotic but its my blog and i ve the right to wax lyrical about great shopping if i want to. im into patent black shoes now! Got two pairs today! That reminds me. Freeman was saying during Audio in media lecture yesterday that in the industry, there are 3 aspects to consider in producing good sound - Quality, Time and Cost. However very often, the client can only settle for two components. If you want your sound man to give you good quality sound within a short duration, be prepared to spend alot. Or if you want it cheap and have the editing done quickly, naturally quality will be compromised!
So anyway about the shoes. There are also 3 aspects to consider in the purchase of shoes! Similar to sound, the first two are quality and cost. The third is comfort! How blister/callus-inducing the shoes have the potential to be. hahaa and im very happy to say that the two pairs i got today fit all 3 criteria! :) Eh. its a rare find ok. Think about it! Usually cheap shoes are dam uncomfortable or just plain ugly. Or worse. Sometimes expensive shoes can be ugly and uncomfortable too! But i guess usually you'd be paying for quality- either in terms of design or material. Or the brand. hahaa. So you see, its hard to fulfill all 3! One pair is in my size..but somehow a tad small...still quite comfortable though! And pretty! hahaa but if the olden days chinese girls could bind their feet, i dont see why i cant wear slightly tight shoes. :)
hahaa ok change of subject! Finally managed to sign up for the Adidas Sundown Marathon! Happening on the 31st of May:) The server was down all night yesterday but got through today. yay. raymond and jang are running too...and seok!!its not too late to sign up ;) hahaa. we can all have supper and eat to our hearts content after! But in the meantime, training! and dieting to lose running mass - i hope!:)

im into my first week at school! i want graphic comm or psychology&comm!i need to settle my timetable soon!
Too many goodbyes this week. Saw shums off at the airport two days ago. im missing her terribly already!:(

This year FCBC's going into a year of sabbath. im glad for the retreat last week with my G12, which was very timely. i thank God for reminding me once again of his faithfulness and love. i want to be like the psalmist David who yearns for God with such an intensity and enjoy such a closeness with Him. ive come to realise that nothing else satisfies. You experience the temporal highs the world can give, and when it wears off, you question what's next. Nothing compares to the joy of knowing my saviour :)
